The house is very private and perfect for family holidays, couples, and groups of friends who are looking for a relaxed weekend getaway.
A perfect mix of mountains and sea
Stanwell Park is a small coastal village situated adjacent to the Illawarra Escarpment on the beautiful South Coast of NSW, Australia, just south of the Royal National Park. This unique topography of mountains rising above coastal beaches provides the stark contrast of the mountains and the sea. Grand Pacific Drive, with its high tech road built daringly over the ocean, traverses through the village of Stanwell Park and winds its way around the mountain through the pretty towns of Coalcliff, Scarborough and Wombara. The region is known for its picturesque beaches, walking tracks, paragliding & hang-gliding sports and popular family excursions to nearby Symbio Wildlife Park, Bundeena, and The Royal National Park.
Stanwell Park is famous for its relationship with Lawrence Hargrave, who pioneered the development of the Box Kite on Stanwell Park Beach. Also, DH Lawrence made “Wyewurk” in Thirroul his home during the writing of the novel Kangaroo.
With an abundance of natural beauty, historical connections, art galleries and beaches, Stanwell Park is a great location for a family holiday, catching up with friends, or just relaxing.
